Cherokee Pines Golf Course, previously named Perry Country Club is an 18-hole semi-private golf course located in Perry, Georgia.
Perry Country Club's original tract of land for the first nine holes comprised 70 acres. The first nine holes and swimming pool opened in the spring and summer of 1952. Land for construction of the remaining nine holes to complete the 18 hole layout was purchased in November 1969. The new nine holes opened on Labor Day 1970. In August of 1992, the clubhouse was destroyed by fire. A new clubhouse was designed, constructed and opened in the fall of 1993.
Perry Country Club features an 18 hole, 6,465 yard, par-71 championship golf course cut from the pines of Middle Georgia. With their lush Bermuda grass fairways, new TifEagle Bermuda grass greens and 3 sets of tees, the course offers an enjoyable and challenging test of golf. With very little elevation change over the entire 18 holes, the course is very pleasurable to walk.
Water hazards (three ponds) come into play on five holes, including #6, a 484-yard, par 4, featuring water down the right side the first half of the hole, which then bisects the green. The par-71 course is 6,465 yards from the blue tees, 5,889 yards from the white tees, and 5,386 yards from the red tees.

Perry Country Club has been sold by the member/stockholders as of March 2014 to Marty Myers and renamed CHEROKEE PINES GOLF AND FITNESS CLUB. Stephanie Stocks Griffin is now the Director of Golf and also teaches golf. Her husband Scott is the Grounds Supervisor. Both have had experience at TPC courses in Florida. Memberships are available on all levels as well as public play. The course is in the best condition ever and the Club as of now seems to be operating in a very professional manner.

The pro is no longer Mike Baker. Don Pund is no longer the greens keeper. The new pro is Jess Marks and they no longer have a superintendent, just workers.

The course improves each time I play on it. Not me, just the course. Over the last several years improvements in irrigation and maintenance have resuted in marked improvement in overall course conditions from tee to green, and it shows. Good value for a nice place to play golf.

Mike Baker and the folks at Perry CC have done a great job in getting the course in the best playing condition I have seen in 10 years. I have always loved the layout of this course.

Perry Golf Course is a good course. The staff and members are friedly and the course is pleasant, not world class, but at 1/2oth the cost of a world class course, it is very nice. Reminds me of a nice municipal course you might find in the 1970s. A nice golf course at a fair price makes for a great day!

This is a nice course, not a great course but a nice course and the price makes it a bargain. The course is relatively flat, stay away from the trees, hit it straight and you should have an easy day. This is a great course if you live near by, but it isn't a course you would drive 60 miles to play. Just a nice course at a fair price. The staff are very friendly and the course has a comfortable welcome feeling.

This course is a work in progress!!! fairways not mowed, most greens are diseased and had recently been sanded and arriated. No mention of this by staff when making a tee time or prior to play. Tees boxes are in horrible shape and it appeared they had not been moved in quite awhile. Way too costly for the condition of the course, should rename Cherokee Cow Pasture!!!!
